Everything we get asked about InkChase, DocuSign reminder automation, and how the rules engine works. Something not covered here? Visit support or email us directly.
No. InkChase uses read-only OAuth scope to read envelope and signer status. It never modifies envelope content, signatures, or recipients. Reminders are sent through DocuSign's own notification API — InkChase queues the send, DocuSign delivers the message to signers through its own infrastructure.
InkChase polls your DocuSign account every 4 hours and updates envelope status, pending signer counts, and last-modified timestamps. You can trigger a manual refresh from the dashboard anytime.
The reminder ceiling is the maximum number of reminders InkChase will send per envelope (default: 5). Once reached, no further reminders are sent — even if you trigger a bulk nudge. This prevents signer fatigue and keeps your DocuSign account in good standing. The ceiling is enforced at the database insert level and cannot be bypassed by the engine or manual nudges.
Quiet hours suppress reminder sends between a start and end hour you configure (e.g., 22:00–08:00 in your tenant timezone). Reminders that trigger during quiet hours are held and fire at the next opportunity outside the window. Midnight-wrap is supported — a start hour greater than the end hour means overnight quiet hours.
InkChase requires a DocuSign Personal or Business Pro account — any plan that supports OAuth and the DocuSign eSignature REST API. It does not work with DocuSign Free trial accounts that restrict API access.
Cancel anytime. No cancellation fees. Your DocuSign connection is revoked, envelope data is deleted within 30 days, and no further reminders are sent. InkChase never holds your data longer than necessary.
When escalation is enabled, you set a threshold N. After N reminders to a signer, InkChase notifies CC recipients on the envelope via DocuSign's API. This automatically pulls a manager or account executive into a stalled deal — no one needs to monitor the queue manually.
Signer email addresses are hashed (SHA-256) before storage. No plaintext email is written to the database. The bottleneck leaderboard shows a truncated hash, not an email address. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
You choose your region at account creation: EU-Central (Frankfurt) or US-East (Virginia). Envelope metadata and reminder records stay in that region and do not replicate across regions. Storage is tenant-isolated — your data is never mixed with another customer's.
InkChase is a single flat plan at $29/month. It includes envelope sync every 4 hours, the full rules engine (cadence, ceiling, quiet hours, business-days-only, timezone), the signer-bottleneck leaderboard, bulk nudge, CC escalation, and priority email support. A 14-day free trial is included — no card required. See the full breakdown on the pricing section.
